Town Hall Meeting: The Future of the Delt House

A town hall meeting is scheduled for Tuesday December 14, 7PM to discuss the future of the Delt house.  Options include building new (either at our current location or a new location), a major remodel, or considering a “Greek Village” proposal from the university.  At the meeting the Board of Trustees will be sharing the information gathered, discussing their current thinking and collecting alumni input.  We look forward to seeing you then!

I ran into your site while looking up what’s happening at Kettering these days. I am a 1972 GMI grad Delt. I spent 4 great years living, schooling and partying with my bothers in the Delt house. Interesting to read you are looking at the house future. I did wonder how the neighborhood was holding up around there. Obviously 50 years ago the GMI neighborhood was much different. We moved from Flint area 21 years ago. Things were on their way down then so still following Flint a bit I imagine are shakey now.
Going to school at the end of the 60’s I saw really fundamental changes occurring in society and in the microcosm of fraternity life. Lots of great memories and some great years. Hope all goes well with your decisions. The fraternity house is not the brick and mortar but the close brotherhood enclosed.
