Delt Shelter Strategy Update

In a previous note I mentioned our primary direction is to remodel the shelter as opposed to moving. This is still our direction. However there have been some recent developments. Kettering is getting more serious about their “Greek Village” concept, and other fraternities on Dupont street are seriously considering it. GMT Selects an Architect!

The GMT Board of Trustees continues to make progress toward its vision of providing one of the best Greek shelters at Kettering. GMT and chapter representatives met with several potential architects over the past 12 months to find one that both fit our budget and our shared vision. Board of Trustees Agree on the Future of the Delt House!

Gamma Mu Tau (GMT), the house corporation for the Kettering University Delts, hosted a town hall meeting December 14th to discuss the future of the Delt house. There was active dialogue about various options including remodeling, building new at a new location, building new at the current location, and even partnering with the university with their “Greek Village” concept. Town Hall Meeting: The Future of the Delt House

A town hall meeting is scheduled for Tuesday December 14, 7PM to discuss the future of the Delt house.  Options include building new (either at our current location or a new location), a major remodel, or considering a “Greek Village” proposal from the university.  At the meeting the Board of Trustees will be sharing the information gathered, discussing their current thinking and collecting alumni input.  We look forward to seeing you then!
