Canoe Trip

This Summer we were able to resume our annual canoe trip down the rifle river. For those not familiar, every summer a-section takes a weekend trip to the rifle river with an open invitation to the alumni. This is one of the great opportunities our newer members to meet some of the alumni and hear about the stories from their time at Kettering. Huge thanks to the Alumni that came to this year’s canoe trip.

Parent’s Weekend

Another event that was resumed this year was our annual Parent’s Weekend. During this event we invite the families of members and pnms to the house for a day of family friendly fun. Some of the preparations include renting a tent for the island, cleaning the house top to bottom, and renting a roaster for the seniors to roast a pig over night.

The headline event for Parent’s Weekend is the JDRF charity auction. For this event 2 seniors are chosen to auction off fun baskets/items that the parents and families have brought. This year we also auctioned off the opportunity for parents to pie a delt. In total we were able to raise a sum of $2,800 that went towards JDRF.
